Phase 1 – Fat Loading Phase

The thought of binging on the fatty foods you desire seems counterintuitive. But as you begin the HCG diet, it’s a necessity.
In the latter phases of the diet you will only be consuming between 500 and 750 calories each day — this is mentally and physically difficult. Gorging on fatty foods in the first two to three days that you are taking the HCG hormone can help you replenish your reserves and make the first week much easier.

Loading Up on Fatty Foods

Many find the first few days of the HCG diet enjoyable. You can eat almost anything you want — bacon, mayonnaise, bread, eggs and pastries are all allowed.

What Foods Can You Load Up On?

A typical loading day would include:

  • Breakfast: A bacon, sausage and ham omelet with a bagel and cream cheese.
  • Midmorning snack: Donuts and strawberries, with a little whip cream if you’re so inclined.
  • Lunch: Chicken or pork with a baked potato and sour cream.
  • Afternoon snack: A milkshake from your favorite fast food restaurant.
  • Dinner: Alfredo pasta with bread, a Caesar salad with avocado, and cheesecake for dessert.
  • Late night snack: Ice cream and potato chips if you are still hungry.

It’s important to eat between 3,000 and 5,000 calories on each loading day. You should gain between two and four pounds over these few days.

Taking HCG injections

HCG is injected into the fatty tissue beneath your skin upon each morning. Where you inject the HCG could influence how well it is absorbed, but no studies have proven this. Dieters often inject HCG into their: abdomen, thighs, buttocks and hip areas. It’s important to steer of areas that could have bones.

Syringes must only be used once, and used syringes should be stored in a hard container. To draw HCG into the syringe, stick the needle into the vial, turn it upside down, and pull back the plunger until it fills slightly past the required dosage. Next, push slowly on the plunger until you reach the required dosage. Flick the body of the syringe until there are no air bubbles present.

Next, choose the injection site. Make sure that it is clean with a swab of alcohol and let it dry. Finally, inject the HCG dose and store the needle in a safe location. Most clients take between 155 iu’s and 200 iu’s per day for six to seven weeks. How Much Weight Did You Gain During this Phase?

It’s very important that you document how much weight you gain during your loading days. This will provide a benchmark for the rest of your dieting. Most first-time loaders gain only a minimal amount of weight. This will be burned off quickly after you enter the next phases of the diet.
