How the HCG Diet Works

The thought of binging on the fatty foods you desire seems counterintuitive. But as you begin the HCG diet, it’s a necessity.
Many find the first few days of the HCG diet enjoyable. You can eat almost anything you want — bacon, mayonnaise, bread, eggs and pastries are all allowed.

The second phase of the HCG diet is where core weight loss occurs. You’ll adhere to a strict diet and lose up to one pound each day. Even though the eating is rigid during, you’ll find it easy to stay motivated. Results are so drastic and immediate that you will want to continue on with the diet.

The stabilization phase is where transformation really takes place. The reason why it’s so important is that this is the phase in which you reset your hypothalamus gland which controls pretty much all the major things about you. This is where you learn to eat going forward.

Phase I – Loading

But as you begin the HCG diet, it’s a necessity. In the latter phases of the diet you will only be consuming between 500 and 750 calories each day — this is mentally and physically difficult. Gorging on fatty foods in the first two to three days that you are taking the HCG hormone can help you replenish your reserves and make the first week much easier.

Many find the first few days of the HCG diet enjoyable. You can eat almost anything you want — bacon, mayonnaise, bread, eggs and pastries are all allowed.

 

What Foods Can You Load Up On?

A typical loading day would include:

Breakfast: A bacon, sausage and ham omelet with a bagel and cream cheese.

Midmorning snack: Donuts and strawberries, with a little whip cream if you’re so inclined.

Lunch: Chicken or pork with a baked potato and sour cream.

Afternoon snack: A milkshake from your favorite fast-food restaurant.

Dinner: Alfredo pasta with bread, a Caesar salad with avocado, and cheesecake for dessert.

Late night snack: Ice cream and potato chips if you are still hungry.

It’s important to eat between 3,000 and 5,000 calories on each loading day. You should gain between two and four pounds over these few days.

Phase 2 – The Diet

Minimal eating is the key in phase two. Adhering to the 550 -750 calorie limit means you will be restricted in what you can eat. It’s important that you stay focused on the results and regularly take one HCG injection each morning.

The diet includes a very limited selection of meats, fruits and vegetables. It’s important to always eat a serving of protein at lunch and dinner, as this will provide you with much of the fuel your body needs.

There are almost no carbohydrates in this selected diet and very few fatty foods, so be sure to eat your favorite fatty dishes during the loading phase.

 

Sample Menu

Breakfast: Coffee or tea
Mid Morning Snack: ½ Grapefruit
Lunch: Customized protein portion for faster fat loss, with multiple vegetables
Snack: One apple
Dinner: Choose a different recommended protein and vegetable.
Late Evening Snack: Strawberries

The servings might look measly when laid out on a plate in front of you, but the reward for keeping up with this diet is enormous. You’ll likely see incredible results after only one week in Phase II while maintaining those results is the objective during phase III

Sticking to the Diet
The key to phase two is adhering to the 550 calorie limit. As long as you aren’t overeating, the HCG hormone will allow your body to burn fat while still retaining muscle. Exceeding the daily calorie count could result in stalled or diminished weight loss results.

Phase 3 – Stablization

I call it the muscle building phase because this is the phase where the transformation really took place and my body actually changed and I built up a lot of muscle in that phase. The reason why it’s so important is because this is the phase in which you reset your hypothalamus gland which controls pretty much all the major things about you.

It controls your height, your weight, your eye color, and your waistline. I mean everything that determined our set point weight at birth. We were designed to be a certain height and a certain weight and we destroyed and basically manipulated our set point and pushed it out of whack by making poor eating choices and having a western diet. This protocol is going to detox your body, reset your hypothalamus, and increase your metabolism to where it’s normal for you. The goal is, through phase 3, is to reset your hypothalamus gland so you never gain the weight back.
